Survive Winter With Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil - French Beauty Co.

WINTER - Opening your eyes to the sound of the alarm in a cold, dark room isn’t the most motivating way to start the day. AND on top of that, looking into the mirror at the sight of your skin that had been sucked dry overnight from the heating. Can it get any worst!? - well, let’s hope not! The French seem to have nailed down the Winter style, from the windswept messy hair to a natural bitten red lip. As cute as rosy winter cheeks are, a windswept face is anything but!

There is a miraculous product found in all French women cabinets - Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. The number #1 best selling dry oil in French Pharmacies, sold every 6 seconds – and we know exactly why! This luxurious oil is recognised by its iconic scent of Orange blossom, Magnolia and Vanilla, igniting all senses and making it a truly indulging and Prodigieuse experience.

But what exactly is a dry oil? How can an oil be moisturising but dry at the same time?

Dry oils are lightweight and quick-absorbing oils that do not have a viscous finish. Huile Prodigieuse has a large cult following thanks to its antioxidant-rich ingredients used for reducing stretch marks, smoothing frizz, and nourishing dry skin!

It contains a blend of precious oils; Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borage, Sweet Almond, Camellia and Argan oil to nourish and protect the skin, face and hair! More to love, this multi-purpose oil includes Tsubaki oil. This antioxidant protects the skin against pollution and reduces the appearance of stretch marks!

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Riche

And we have some exciting news! Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Riche has just landed, for very dry skin that needs that extra TLC! Oui Oui Oui! Choose between the original Huile Prodigieuse or Huile Prodigieuse Riche, and follow these steps to winter-proof your skin!

Step #01: Exfoliate!

Although cell turnover doesn't actually slow down during the winter months, skin cells do 'die' faster as they dehydrate. There is no use in layering your expensive serums when there is a layer of dead skin cells on the surface blocking the serums from sinking in. Try mixing Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil into your favourite exfoliator for a more nourishing experience and lightly moisturise whilst buffing the dead layers off.

Step #02: Supercharge your moisturiser

Oils have a great affinity to the skin when they are natural. Huile Prodigieuse contains antioxidants to nourish the skin without feeling greasy. Use alone after cleansing or simply add a drop or two into your night moisturiser and your skin will glow in the morning.

Is your foundation looking too matte or flaky? Add a little to your foundation or tinted moisturiser for a fresh dewy finish. This will dilute any full coverage foundation for a light natural finish.

Step #03: Lips don’t lie

No one wants to be staring at your dry and chapped lips as you talk to them! Mix a little organic honey and raw sugar together into a paste and scrub all the dead skin off. The honey will nourish the lips and the raw sugar particles will buff down the dead skin.

If you want a convenient option, try Reve de Miel Lip balm by Nuxe, made up of honey, Vitamin E and precious oils to give your lips the ultimate luxurious experience. It has a slightly gritty texture to exfoliate the lips too!

Step #04: Body, Body, Body!

Do we need to recite a mantra to keep us from forgetting to moisturise after showering? Nail the #frenchlazy and add a couple of drops into your favourite body moisturiser, or if you have more time on your hands, apply your body moisturiser first, followed by the oil. Not only will this give your skin a glossy dewy finish, but the oil will trap the moisture and prevent moisture lost!

Heading out to town with the girls? Give some glow to the skin by spritzing a bit on the collar bones and décolletage. We recommend trying the more fun and sparkly version – Huile Prodigieuse Golden for tiny golden flecks that dance and reflect off the skin!

Step #05: Hair finale

New Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Riche

How do French girls manage to get their hair looking so beautifully effortless? It’s simple. They care for it the night before. Work a few drops to ends of the hairs for serious shine to your strands, throw it up in a bun and wake up to hair that’s fit for a hair commercial. Or, do it like the French, and spray it on your hairbrush and work through the lengths of the hair!

As an extra treatment, once a week, coat a generous amount to ends of the hair and wait 10 – 20 minutes before washing it out. Your hair will instantly soak up the antioxidants and feel silkier and softer!
